Anzac Day March @ Toukley

Monday I took the kids to the Anzac Day March @ Toukley to pay our respects and remember the sacrafice our soldiers made for our country. Both Katie and Luke took their Camera's although only Luke took some pictures. Here are some below that Luke took of the March.
He was very interested, taking it all in and then listening to all the information about the past and present wars during the memorial. Katie quoted information she had learnt at school however after the march was keen to get away as it was very crowded and noisey. Here are some of Luke's photos.

Easter Sunday 2011

Look at my big grown up girl, she looks so much older in this photo. I don't like how quickly she is growing up. "Happy Easter Mum, look I did my own hair."

Our first Easter where with the myth of the Easter Bunny revealed... We still pretended however and Katie left a carrot and letter on a plate for the Easter Bunny. "But don't tell the little kid's Mum, it's a secret."

Later we enjoyed a beautiful bbq lunch @ Mackenzie Reserve in Budgewoi with good friends. As crowded as it was we managaed to secure a bbq and table. Seemed everyone had the same idea. After enjoying the day and bidding everyone goodbye, we packed up the car and took off over the footbridge for a walk.

katies new room now painted, decorated, furnished and complete.
Fushia curtains as requested from Spotlight, new bedspread picked by Katie from Target. 2 new small white floor stock units from reject shop and fantastic furniture for Katie's bedside table and TV unit stand.


I used these wall art glitter butterflies to stick to a spare canvas I had in the craft cupboard. Simply painted the background pink first.

Katie's desk gets a clean down, re organised and favourite Scooby Doo poster put back on her desk drawer. Room now Complete! xx

Stage 1: Now that the painting is almost finished, I left my hubby with the finishing touches on the paint work, while I went shopping for some new curtains, wall art deco and a small white shelf unit for Katie's Tele and DVD player.
Katie has decided on HOT PINK and BLACK as her colours.I found this lovely bird cage and some butterfly wall art stickers for a total bargain price of $12.00 courtesy of Chicken feed and The Reject shop.














Katie and I went shopping last week for a new doona cover as she had outgrown her old 'Barbie' cover. She picked out this lovely Butterfly set in her fav colours BLACK and PINK! Very grown up. :(





Well that's that for now will update later on the progress... For now WHAT A BLOOMIN' MESS.

Ok just created my blog and will try and use it this time. Just kicking back relaxing with friends enjoying what is ... good times family and friends the very definition of love, life and laughter. might just create a more defining blog later.
